Marking unread doesn't work

When you mark a chat as unread in the shared inbox, the chat automatically reopens, marking the conversation as read again. Therefore, the mark as unread feature doesn't work. They should make it so no chats open. This happens to me in the Unread tab. But I think it's the same everywhere.
